Castle Vacation Rentals Hawaii is the largest locally-owned vacation rental company in Hawaii with over 1,000 vacation rentals. Our Hawaii-based company was formed to accommodate the growing needs of visitors to Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu. Rental offerings combine value, convenience, and authentic experiences.
From the hustle-and-bustle of Oahu’s world-renowned Waikiki beach to the serenity of an oceanfront property on Molokai, we offer a variety of experiences. Our Story
1988
Wall forms a partnership to purchase Hanalei Bay Resort and acquires management contracts for the AOAO Hanalei Bay Resort, West Molokai Resort Condo Owners Association and the resort management contract for the Kaluakoi Villas.
1993
Castle Resorts & Hotels acquires Hawaiian Pacific Resorts and assumes management of Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, Kona Reef Hotel and many other hotels and resorts across Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Island.
1997
Castle spreads across the Pacific to manage hotels and resorts in Saipan, Guam, Chuuk and New Zealand, including Spencer on Byron in Auckland (pictured above).
2006
Castle continues to grow and acquire more hotels and resorts for its management portfolio, doubling in size. During this expansion, Castle adds luxury villa resort Halii Kai at Waikoloa.
2016
Castle launches new website featuring innovative technology that allows distribution and booking by both room category and individual units effectively becoming a hybrid hotel and vacation rental management company.
2017
Castle wins the Gold Medal for Digital Marketing from HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) for their redesign and relaunch of CastleResorts.com.
2018
Alan Mattson is appointed President & Chief Executive Officer. Mattson joined Castle in 1999 as President & Chief Operating Officer.
2019
Castle acquires Maui vacation rental management company Chase 'N Rainbows and Trinity Maid Company expanding their vacation rental inventory to about 1,000 units.
2019
Castle Hospitality Group is launched with the brands Castle Resorts & Hotels, Castle Vacation Rentals Hawaii, Chase 'N Rainbows and Trinity Maid Company. With 1,000 rentals across Hawaii, Castle Vacation Rentals Hawaii is the largest Hawaii-based vacation rental management company.
