Castle Vacation Rentals Hawaii - Join the Movement

Castle provides a wide range of vacation rental management services including: check-in/check-out, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue management, sales and marketing, and accounting. For more details on what we can do, please review our Homeowner page.  

The rental agreement shall be effective on the date signed and will continue in full force and effect until either party gives ninety (90) days prior written notice of termination. 

Yes, as an owner, you are responsible to file and pay the above taxes. Castle will collect the general excise and transient accommodation taxes for you and distribute these amounts in your monthly distribution check. However, you are responsible for filing and paying these taxes to the State of Hawaii, Department of Taxation. For a minimal fee Castle provides services to file and pay your taxes for your home. 

No, Castle pays for your listing and will have your unit professionally photographed at no cost to you. 

There are two options. First, you can keep managing the listing yourself for rates and the availablilty calendar. For any reservation made, you will need to hand over to Castle to process. Second, you can hand over the listing to Castle to manage. The existing listing will have to be inactivated and we will recreate it on our side. The listing will now be dynamically connected to our rate structure and availablity calendar as well as content and imagery. 

Castle will provide routine maintenance services on a regular basis and will facilitate the repairs of items such as air-conditioners, replacement of plumbing and electrical fixtures within the Unit, etc. The cost will be deducted from the Owner's monthly distribution. 

You may use your home as often as you wish under the terms of the agreement. However, please coordinate your travel dates with Castle so as to not interrupt any pre-assigned guests into respective units. Owners and Owner's Guests are required to check-in at the property. 

Yes, the Owner has the right, in coordination with Agent, to solicit and secure paying guests at rates not lower than Castle's undiscounted internet rental rate for the Unit as dispalyed on Castle's website and will be paid a ten percent (10%) commission for the booking. The booking must be turned over to Castle and the rental revenue will be handled like normal distrubution. To receive the commission, the Owner must make the reservation directly with Castle. 

Distribution is sent on a monthly basis. It will include your check, distribution report and owner newsletter. 

Yes, as a member of Castle's rental program, you are automatically enrolled in our Castle Owner Circle Program. This will allow you to save an additional 10% off our best available rate at all of our participating Castle properties in Hawaii and New Zealand. All Owner Circle members also enjoy free room upgrades and save when booking with Dollar-Rent-A-Car.
